Real Praise!

The presence of God is like nothing else one could ever experience. Real praise puts you in a place of communion with the Holy Spirit. When you fully surrender to the Lord in all that you do, and draw near to him in worship, he will then begin to draw near to you and reveal things to you about your life and your future. God inhabits the praises of his people. It brings him such delight to see his children worshipping him in spirit and in truth.

There have been so many days and nights in my life when I’d be in a state of suffering and affliction. I don’t believe it was as bad as David’s ordeal when the pains of hell came against him, but it was pretty bad and I surely found trouble and sorrow. During those times it is very hard to focus on anything else that is going on in life. It is almost as if it would be more beneficial to withdraw completely from everything occupying my time and just go into my prayer closet and have innumerable conversations with God. Whenever I would have desperation in my heart to be in the presence of God and would begin to worship him, he would hear the groaning of my heart and respond by drawing nearer to me.

When the Lord draws nearer to you, he can also give you an utterance referred to as speaking in tongues. This is direct conversation with the Holy Spirit that even we may not understand straight away. It is a gift from God that every Christian should practice. I truly believe that speaking in tongues will cause so much accomplishment in the spirit realm. There are so many devices and plans that the enemy has set before us in efforts to create stumbling blocks in our lives. Without spiritual discernment, we will not be able to tell whether something is coming against us or not, but speaking in tongues works as a standard against the enemy. Prayer is something that is used as a weapon and “the effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much” (James 5:16 KJV).

I know praise does a lot in people life, but most of the time we fall out of God presence.
